Sherri is a graduate of The Institute of the South for Hospitality and Culinary Arts, she also holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Louisiana State University. Her background includes studies at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, The International Sugar Art Collection in Atlanta, and The French Pastry School. Her keen sense of style is expressed in all of her designs.

As a Chef Instructor, Sherri has taught Baking and Pastry Arts in the culinary departments at Daytona State College and Florida State College in Jacksonville.

The creative experience and business knowledge gained over the past 20 years has given Sherri a great desire to give back and help other small businesses excel. Sherri’s combined background in fashion and her culinary education became the perfect pairing and foundation to becoming a leader and educator in her craft.

Her studio’s cake designs have been featured in BRIDES, Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, The Knot, Southern Weddings, Weddings Illustrated, Brides Florida, Beautiful Bride, Weddings in Houston, Today’s Bride, several other notable magazines and multiple national blogs including Oprah, Colin Cowie Weddings and Preston Bailey.

Sherri has been a guest Pastry Chef on the HGTV series – All In Good Taste, and she has also shared her talent on the PBS series – Picture This. 
Furthermore, a wonderful six-tier showpiece cake design was featured on The Food Network, and another of The Pastry Studio’s special cake designs appeared on the MTV series, Engaged And Underaged, and most recently the Biker Bakery Tour shot its pilot episode here at our shop during Biketoberfest 2015 in Daytona Beach.

Amanda D’Arcy is a trained pastry chef and our lead baker responsible for all aspects of baking, filling and managing our kitchen. Her talent for organization is the ideal complement to our gifted design team. She obtained an associate of applied science in culinary arts as well as a certification in baking and pastry from Daytona State College. Amanda is a dedicated professional who, as a valued member of our team, ensures you and your guests will love your wedding cake.

Ale Galan is an architectural sugar artist and pastry chef who, in collaboration with our team, executes the design and finishing of your wedding cake. She received her grand diploma in pastry arts from The French Culinary Institute in New York City. Among her myriad talents, Ale excels at finding unique and fun solutions to the most challenging assignments. Her ability to expertly cover most every phase of the design of your wedding cake has made her a true asset to The Pastry Studio.
